Hey guys, sorry it's been over two months since I've updated this journal. Doh. I just don't tend to feel like I need to update when I have nothing relevant to say! That and well.. I've been fighting off the artblock of doom and trying to cleanse myself of rust gathered during a couple years of very little arting. I think I've managed to get over it now, with the help of some great friends, inspiration and studying/referencing anatomy from some brilliant stock photographers here on DA.

I will be attending FanimeCon in two weeks! Eeek! I've been so busy working on official Fanime business that I haven't had much time to get beyond sketches for the new material I want to have for sale at con. I will have several "new" prints. I will be selling prints of the works that appear in Kaleidoscope, as well as "Universe", and "Sweet Dreams and Fairy Tales" in addition to just a few copies of old favorites (Hatake Kakashi, Fairy Chii, Halloween, and Karen & Kori twins).

I am also hoping to have bookmarks, buttons and charms of artwork not yet seen. I'll be posting them here as I finish them.

Also, if you will be attending Fanime, don't forget to pick up a copy of the 15th Anniversary Illustration Collection! I've a few pieces in it, but there are a ton of great pieces by other artists in it. I managed the project and laid out the design of the book. Incase you haven't noticed, I finally gave in and got a Twitter account. You can follow me at usaku. This account is mostly for art-related tweets, though a few occasional OT tweets make their way in from time to time. I'm not spammy and I won't tweet to tell you what I'm eating for breakfast. It's the best way to get updates about art projects and thoughts from me, as I generally don't feel the need to make a whole journal post about simple things here.

I have a hard enough time staying on top of my personal and volunteer projects, so I don't accept commissions. Sorry! It's what's best for my sanity. It's also best for potential customers because I don't want to commit to something I take forever to finish. However, I do offer commissions at conventions and only at conventions (no take-home works) so catch me at one of the events I attend!
